Gym
Here you’ll find all the fitness equipment you need for your daily workout, plus a wonderful view of the Montirone park. The gym is open from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Steam bath
When you enter the steam bath, you find yourself enveloped in a warm, health-giving mist. With 98% humidity and a temperature of 45°C (113°F), the steam bath is designed to make you sweat profusely. This sweating relaxes your muscles, helps to reduce tension and detoxify your body. It also helps purify your skin, making it softer and more luminous.
Finnish sauna
This sauna is made from the natural elements you expect in a traditional Nordic sauna: a wooden room, wooden benches, and a hot stone onto which you pour water to humidify the air. The sauna’s high temperature (between 80°C and 100°C (176°F and 212°F) and low humidity (~10%) generate a dry heat that is excellent for stimulating your metabolism and helping to improve cell turnover while eliminating toxins.
Sensory waterfalls
After having gone through the hot areas of the Spa, you enter the coolness of the sensory waterfalls, and this temperature difference is perfect to reenergize your body. The water is in spray form and this makes it softer and lighter and keeps it from causing thermal shock to your body. The waterfalls also make use of color therapy and aroma therapy, using a variety of lights and fragrances, in order to create a pleasant, energizing sensation.
Whirlpool baths in thermal water
In each of the hotel’s thermal pools there are water-massage jets that stimulate your body’s microcirculation and dissolve the sense of heaviness in your muscles, producing a truly delightful feeling.
Ice room and ice waterfall
After having gone through the Spa’s hot areas (the sauna, the steam bath, and the thermal pools), you will find that the ice room, at a temperature of 15°C (59°F), gives an invigorating boost to your circulation and your entire body. You can make the experience even more invigorating and effective by taking ice from the ice waterfall and rubbing it on your arms and legs.
Thermal steam grotto
The thermal steam grotto eliminates excess fluids from your body, cleans your skin and makes it more supple, stimulates your metabolism, and eliminates fat. In addition, the grotto’s heat helps to reduce tightness and pain in your bones, joints, and muscles.
Kneipp walk
In the Kneipp walk, the water temperature increases and decreases cyclically. This allows the capillaries in your legs to dilate and then narrow again, over and over. This is the equivalent of physical exercise. This keeps them active and supple and thereby stimulates the circulation in your legs.
Relaxation areas, both indoors and outdoors
One of the best and most pleasant moments at the Spa is simply enjoying a break letting your mind and body absorb and process the wellness effects of the thermal pools and the other spa activities. You can savor your moments of relaxation on the poolside loungers, or in the warm relaxation area indoors, or in the natural surroundings of the park.
